Critical Care Obstetrics and Gynecology is pleased to announce Special issue on “nCOVID-19: Associated Risks in Child-Birth”.
Studies so far suggest that infants are more prone to coronavirus infection. Their immune system is weak as compared to an adult. Also, since they are not immunised to other infections, covid-19 infection will be an add-on resulting in superinfection. Infants are more prone to Respiratory illness. Hence, more care is needed.
Health care facilities also may temporarily room mothers who have COVID-19 or are under investigation. Postpartum guidance may include washing your hands before touching your baby and, if possible, wearing a face mask during breast-feeding. If you're pumping breast milk, wash your hands before touching any pump or bottle parts and follow recommendations for proper pump cleaning.
With the same purpose, our Journal Critical Care Obstetrics and Gynecology is announcing Special issue Call for paper on “nCOVID-19: Associated Risks in Child-Birth”. We welcome both solicited and unsolicited submissions that will contribute to this special issue.
